Scottish Schools - Athletics Championships

Full set of Medals for Anna

It was a great week-end for the School girls of East Lothian who brought home a total seven medals from the Scottish Schools Athletic Association Championships held at Grangemouth last week-end.

ELADG - Junior Summer Series

An opportunity for young athletes from local clubs to have some competition and to meet with other youngsters in the area on their normal training nights.
It would also provide an incentive for youngster to take part in the East Lothian Track & Field Championships in September.

Clubs invited to take part. Haddington East Lothian Pacemakers (Mondays) Dunbar Running Club (Tuesdays or Thursdays) Musselburgh & District Athletic Club (Wednesdays) and Lasswade Athletic Club (Mondays & Thursdays).

HELP Juniors March 2008

A member of the HELP juniors team is going to be nominated to carry the flag of one country at the opening ceremony for the IAAF World XCCC on March 30th.


Olivia just pipped for National Schools title

Scottish Schools Championships - Irvine

Olivia Mackenzie, who attends Lorreto School Musselburgh and lives in Haddington, showed her potential at the BUPA Cross Country event in January when competing for the East of Scotland, but an infection meant that she missed out on the the Scottish Championships at Kirkcaldy. However, she more than justified the faith of the Scottish selectors when on Saturday she competed at the Scottish Schools Championships at Irvine when in a very close finish she finished second by just one second in the under 14 years Girls event.

Scottish Athletics Indoor League - Team East Lothian Results

Kelvin Hall - Glasgow

A total of 14 young athletes (7 boys and 7 girls) from Team East Lothian went through to Glasgow's Kelvin Hall for the third and final event of the indoor season. Although the team were competing as 'non scoring' the event provided a good opportunity for them to have experience of running, jumping and throwing in an international indoor arena.
